Disabled parking spaces are located in car park 2 and can be accessed from there.

If you are accompanying a disabled person, you can take them directly to the entrance by car and let them out there.
> Afterwards, we ask you to park your vehicle in the designated parking spaces.
> During your visit, the vehicle can unfortunately not be parked in the ticket office area.

Alternatively, a shuttle service is available to transport disabled guests comfortably between the car park and the entrance or castle courtyard.

Access to the castle courtyard is possible for guests with limited mobility via shuttle service (by arrangement). You will find more information on this in the next section.

We offer a shuttle service from the car park to Schallaburg Castle for people with walking disabilities.

It is best to book the shuttle service in advance by e-mail to buchung@schallaburg.at - please state the day of your visit and your approximate arrival time so that our team is prepared.

When you arrive, you can request the shuttle service by calling +43 2754 6317-0. Our team will then pick you up directly from your vehicle.

The journey is possible to the ticket office/entrance or - by arrangement - to the castle courtyard.

Spontaneous pick-ups from the car park or return trips are also possible - simply call us on +43 2754 6317-0 and we will be there for you shortly.

Schallaburg Castle is a historical site. However, in co-operation with the Federal Monuments Office, numerous areas have been made accessible to enable all guests to enjoy a comfortable visit.

Barrier-free access is provided to:
> the exhibition
> the castle garden
> the restaurant
> during events: castle cellar & large banqueting hall

In the main exhibition rooms, several lifts provide barrier-free access to all floors. The lifts are 90 cm wide and 140 cm deep.
Disabled sanitary facilities are also available.
Wheelchairs can be borrowed free of charge at the ticket desk (please book in advance).

We are constantly working to further optimise the historic castle complex and expand barrier-free access - for a pleasant experience for all guests.

Barrier-free toilets are located in the inner courtyard.
Seating is available throughout the grounds.
If required, a shuttle can be organised from the castle courtyard to the castle garden.

Texts in easy language & audio guide

• We want everyone to be able to understand information easily. That's why much of the content is also available in plain language.
• You will find texts in plain language at various points in the exhibition.
• An audio guide is also available.
• Simply scan the QR codes in the exhibition - these will take you directly to the appropriate explanation in plain language.

This allows you to discover the content at your own pace.
