What would a castle be without ghosts... Join us on a ghost tour this Halloween and step through the veil of legend into the twilight world within the walls of Schallaburg Castle.
The legend of the Dog Maiden dates back to the Renaissance, and other ancestral ghosts also haunt the 1,000-year-old walls.

Once upon a time...
There were once two landgraves who lived at Schallaburg Castle. One lived in the castle and the other had built his own residence, the New Castle.
But there was strife between the two brothers, and so it is not surprising that misfortune struck at some point.
