Phases of Contruction

The buildings of the Schallaburg were investigated quite literally block by block in the last three years of intensive building research. The use of state-of-the-art technologies such as soil radar and dendrochronology, as well as the linking of all information led to new and exciting findings. For example, the residential building, the Palas, was not built in the first half of the 12th century as assumed, but at the end of the 11th century.
