These exhibition regulations govern the use of the exhibition areas of the Schallaburg. All employees and visitors are subject to these rules and regulations. Visitors shall take note of the rules and regulations and undertake to abide by them. Persons under the influence of alcohol will be refused admission.
The current opening times are posted in the entrance area. The last admission to the exhibition is at 4.15 pm from Monday to Friday, and at 5.15 pm on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. Unless otherwise indicated, closure of the exhibition rooms will be announced shortly in advance over the public address system. The rooms must be vacated immediately.
It is prohibited to take and use image and sound recording equipment to exhibition rooms. Touching and photographing the exhibition objects is expressly forbidden.
The taking of umbrellas, walking sticks or the like; handbags and bags larger than 30 x 20 cm; backpacks of any size and weapons of any kind (blades, guns, knuckledusters, pepper spray, etc.) is prohibited.
The consumption of food, drinks and ice-cream is only permitted in the designated areas. In particular, please not that food and drink must not be taken into the exhibition spaces.
The taking of pets into the castle premises (with the exception of the garden) is not permitted.
Smoking and the use of naked lights in the Schallaburg is strictly prohibited. This also applies in particular to exhibition spaces, storage rooms, depots, cellar, lecture hall, shop and counter area and in the corridors and cloakroom. Excluded from this regulation are the lounges as well as the restaurant and café. Lit tobacco goods must be extinguished before leaving these rooms. In this regard, reference is made to the fire regulations, which apply to each employee and each visitor.
